A new update has been rolled out for Team Fortress 2. Players will receive this update automatically upon restarting the game. This patch introduces various fixes and improvements across the game.
General Fixes and Updates
- The Wrangler shield no longer detaches from a parented Sentry Gun, thanks to a GitHub fix by ficool2.
- Missing sounds for the “Taunt: The Final Score” have been restored.
- The sound effect for “Taunt: Bear Hug” has been corrected to prevent clipping.
- The attack range for “Taunt: Texan Trickshot” has been reduced.
- The “Esprit De Corps” item has been updated to resolve a shoulder clipping issue.
- An issue with the normal map for the “Short Fuse” item has been addressed.
- The in-game item importer now supports the new ‘bullets’ bodygroup.
- Problems with DirectX80 rendering for the “Fully Charged” and “Overcharged” Unusual effects have been fixed.
- Updates were made to the “Iconic Outline” and “Subtle Silhouette” Unusual effects:
- A fallback material path for refract textures was added to prevent rendering issues for DirectX80 users.
- The depth bias value of refraction was lowered to mitigate rendering problems on taunts where the default control point does not move with the model.
Map Updates
- pl_aquarius:
- The skybox has been fixed.
- Soundscapes have been updated.
- cp_conifer:
- A missing poster texture has been fixed.
- Outdated loading screen pictures have been updated.
- cp_fulgur:
- Clipping in the exterior area has been resolved.
- An outdated spytech asset has been replaced with a newer version.
- pl_citadel:
- VScript stability improvements have been implemented.
